UUUGGHHH! Day ????...9

Quick update... NO funnies here.

I may have mildly failed at the task at hand. Monday I spent .48 cents for an onion to go into my stew.

Tuesday I spent 62.xx at KFC! Does this really count though? My aunts husband was in an auto accident early Tuesday morning and everyone rushed by their side. Instead of cooking, while my aunt was in the shower I went to KFC to get dinner, which is the 62.xx. I'm gonna say it doesn't count because I still have stew at home that I could have been eating, but still add it to the total for those of you who want to keep track with me!

Totals for the day:
Total to start 25.00
total spent 7.12 or 69.12
total to spend 17.88 or -44.12

Day Cinco!

Here's my post for days 5 & 6

Day 5......is a 0.00 OOP for me since I'm having stew and crackers for dinner.

Totals for the day:
Total to start 25.00

total to spend 20.50

Day 6 will be a 1.14 OOP... I'm not going to agonize over this because I work 6 days a week 12-14 hrs a day and this 1.14 will help me keep my sanity and start the week....You wanna know what I'm buyin' don'tcha.......I will be purchasing a 32 oz Strawberry Lemonade made with fresh strawberries and lemons. I have this every Sunday when I take my poochie to the park, he gets the toys and I get the drink.

I wont be using the computer at all on Sundays....YOU and the rest of the world will have to wait until Monday for an update.

Hope everyone has a fun!

POW! POP! POOOOSH! SPARKLE!

OHHHH yes how did you like my fireworks in the title?

I thought they could use a little more COLOR! HAHA.

HAPPY 4TH OF JUL
Y EVERYBODY!

Special thanks to all the Men & Women in our Armed Forces:

The U.S. Army, The Army National Guard, The U.S. Navy, The U.S. Air Force, The U.S. Marine Corps, and The U.S. Coast Guard

Thank you for ALL that you do!

So how much did I spend? What did I eat? Did I go over budget?

Let me tell ya about my night last night, I went to Walmart AGAIN to see if they had any Powerade on the shelf...NOPE!

While I was there I remembered that I needed to pick up some cleaning gloves for 2 of my Housekeepers, so as I ran to get a few packages of those I passed the frozen section where they had Healthy Choice Panini for $1.00. Now keep in mind I have a 21.50 budget for the month so I was a little hesitate to purchase something that I had never had before even though it was only A DOLLAR! YES A DOLLAR!

Everyday thinking prior to July 1st...........hell it's only a buck get one of each to try.
post July 1st........well if I get 1 then that's a DOLLAR and makes my budget 20.50. But its already the 3rd and I have 28 more days to go! Let's see that will bring me to about 73 cents per day to spend. Yeah, I really pulled out my calculator!

Ok, I spent the DOLLAR on this lovely sandwich Tomato Basil & Mozzarella Panini No Fat & Reduced Fat Mozzarella, Reduced Fat Provolone Cheeses, Diced Tomatoes, Roasted Peppers & Onions, Spinach with Creamy Basil Sauce, on Italian Bread.

When I got home I opened the box like a 6yr old on Christmas morning anxious to see what was inside. I was amazed it smelt good, looked good.....but the question that remained would it taste good? I read the back of the box "please fold box into an origami tray" place in microwave for 3-4 minutes.
Sweet I have 4 minutes...off to put on my pj's and slippers.

Back in the kitchen I checked my lovely sandwich and thought wow the cheese could be a little more melted...back into the microwave. Soup would be good with this....mmmm tomato soup made with evaporated milk. So on the table I got tomato soup, a few crackers, and...

Wheres my sandwich you ask? Yeah that didn't quite make it to the table it made it to the floor, where my dog proceeded to eat it... How he never yelp out in pain or stopped eating it is beyond me!

How did it end up on the floor you ask? My origami box tray was hotter than a 2 dollar hooker on the corner. Note to self: use a holder next time...if there is one!

So the question that STILL remains is would it taste good? All that agonizing over a DOLLAR got me now where!

To end this story here are my totals for the day:
Total to start 25.00
total spent 1.50
total to spend 20.50

So It Goes

It's that time of day again where I update you on the daily intake of my food.

Well perhaps not the intake but the amount of money that I spent for my daily intake, which I am happy to report back as being 0.00 for the day. AND no beans! (yet)

...And there you have it the daily update you've all been waiting for! Yeah how exciting was that? You might want to re-read it in case you missed something lol

On a non challenge related note I went to RiteAid today to get some Pert Plus that's on sale 2/$5 and used 2 coupons to make it free. Here's the run down

First Transaction:

1 botanical s+c =$2.50
1 regular s+c = $2.50
- 3.00 manf q
-2.00 manf q
___________________
FREE + tax = 41 cents! Plus one the bottle there was a MIR for upto 3.99(?)

Second Transaction:

1 botanical s+c =$2.50 X 5
1 regular s+c = $2.50 X5
- 3.00 manf q X5
-2.00 manf q X5
___________________
FREE + tax = $2.03 cents! Plus one the bottle there was a MIR for upto 3.99(?)

$50.28 orginal price
-$30.00 store sale price
-$30.00 manf coupons
= FREE!!
So total OOP $2.44 and get back at least $7.98 rebates = $5.54 profit.

I have about 45 more of each q to use...perhaps I will hold off till later since they don't expire till August!

Final rant before closing out the blog!!!!

What the heck is up with Walmart never having the Powerade instock.? Hello you fools I need to use my free dasani water coupons before they expire, and in order to use those I have to (buy) get your dang powerade for free as well. I think you are trying to conspire against me for using 103 coupons on Saturday....Aren't you? Not Nice!!! I'm on to you!

Totals for the day:
Total to start 25.00
total spent 3.50
total to spend 21.50

Day 2

Wow it's been a busy day.... I know you kept checking, and read that same first title over and over didn't ya....

First time actually sitting at my desk and thinking holy shit I committed myself to a 25.00 budget, 3.50 of which I spent last night for dinner.

It kinda set in on my drive home last night that I would have to cook...and it's hot as balls out so I resorted to thinking...

What's the cheapest thing I can make that wont require heat?
~cereal
~lunch meat
~cereal
~cup o noodle
~hot dogs
~bread and water lol and anything else that you could think of I thought of, and then some. (we won't go there though)
~did I mention cereal?

However, after the car cleared of smoke that had leaked from my brain I came up with the genius plan to use the Foreman Grill and Crock pot (thanks Grams). I already have meat in the freezer that I could use. I have chicken that I could put in the crock pot and pork choppers that I could grill.

25 for the month now seems like it's not gonna kill me.

My dilemma for today is that I didn't bring anything to work for lunch/dinner. I'm used to just picking something up at the restaurant....clearly that won't be happening.
I do have a loose can of Bush's Grillin Baked beans that escaped from a shopping bag rolling around in my trunk that I could eat or I could suck it up and go the remaining 7 hrs of a 12 hr shift........which leads me to beleive that those beans will be tasting pretty good in about 3 hrs. HA!

So once again here are my totals:
Total to start 25.00
total spent 3.50
total to spend 21.50

UPDATE:
So many inquiring minds made me feel compelled to update that..... I have YET to eat the beans rolling in the car...matter of fact they haven't made it inside the hotel yet! Only 4 more hours though...I think I'm gonna make it.

Dear water you taste so much like a nicely seasoned hamburger from the grill with tomatoes (well not the ones that make you sick) mustard, ketchup, onions, lettuce (not from the bag that Winnie from HCW DH bought), but for some reason you still taste like WATER!

Let It Begin

Ok... Well that part is done, where to start now? I've never done this before as many before me have said. We'll see where is goes. If you are reading this then clearly I have no idea what the hell I'm doing, but with the help of HCW (hotcouponworld) I will slowly figure it out.

I just committed myself to a grocery budget of $25.00 for the month of July. Holy smokes that's like 25.00.

Long introduction short my plan is to do some meal planning so that when I do start this on JULY 2nd I will be good to go with everything that I need.

Why are you telling me all this you wonder? Well I'm not telling you per say, I'm more so telling myself. Here's the plan and I'm stickin to it.

So as I'm sitting here chatting with the other fine folks in the chat room, it's starting to hit me 25 for the month I usually spend about 150 total and that's because I usually just grab something on the go. I say about 5.00 per day because I usually just eat once.

I'm just starting my stockpile so it's gonna be a little tricky.

Total to start 25.00
total spent 3.50
total to spend 21.50
